Please ensure that product deliveries are handled in accordance with the customs requirements for the free trade of goods (Delivered Duty Paid). If you decide for a temporary import, it is essential that you use a freight forwarder, i.e. do not use a courier, express packet service, etc. More details can be obtained from your nearest customs office.
Return shipping of prototypes/mock-ups
If you have elected for the return shipping of your prototype/mock-up, Red Dot will proceed to make preparations for shipping from October.
The participant concerned bears all costs and risks related to storage and/or return delivery.
Fees
The submission fees vary depending on the submission date and include the preparation of the project for adjudication, the preparation of a jury dossier and the presentation during the jury session. Further fees will be charged for administration and handling of prototypes.

+ Fee in Euro is based on currency exchange taken on 13 November 2025, the fee in Euro is for reference only. All fees are charged in Singapore Dollar (SGD).
Prototypes and Models (optional)
Small Size Prototype:
The prototype has the volume of 1000cm3 and weighs less than 1kg. An example of a small sized product is a mobile phone. The administration fee is SGD150. The fee does not include shipping the prototype or mock-up to and from the judging location.
Medium Size Prototype:
The prototype has the volume of 8000cm3 and weighs between 1kg and 5kg. An example of a medium sized product is a laptop. The administration fee is SGD250. The fee does not include shipping the prototype or mock-up to and from the judging location.
Large Size Prototype:
The prototype has the volume of 64000cm3 and weighs between 5kg and 15kg. An example of a large sized product is a microwave oven. The administration fee is SGD500. The fee does not include shipping the prototype or mock-up to and from the judging location.
Extra Large Size Prototype:
The prototype has the volume of 512000cm3 and weighs between 15kg and 50kg. An example of a extra-large sized product is a television. The administration fee is SGD1000. The fee does not include shipping the prototype or mock-up to and from the judging location.
Damage to Prototype:
Due to the fragility and one-off nature of prototypes and models, Red Dot will not be responsible for the damage of the prototype/model during judging, storage, and/or exhibition.
Costs in the event of your project winning an award
Booking the Winner Package is obligatory for all winners that receive a distinction. Benefits include use of the winner label as well as presentation of the project in the yearbook, the museum and online exhibitions.
Depending on which distinction is received, winners can opt for the Light, Regular or Bold Packages.
The package options allow the winner to select the services that suit them best. It is also possible to add optional extras to the booked package at the time of booking.
Winner Packages for the distinction "Red Dot"
The Red Dot is the distinction for high design quality. The international jury awards the sought-after quality symbol only to projects that are excellently designed.
Winner Package "Light" at SGD4000 (2652 euros)
The Light package includes the following services:
- Use of the Red Dot Winner Label for the entire life cycle of the winning design concept.
- Two A4-format copies of the Red Dot certificate.
- A half page presentation of the project in the Red Dot Design Concept Yearbook 2026/2027.
- One copy of the Red Dot Design Concept Yearbook 2026/2027.
- Publication of the award-winning design concept with images and text in the online exhibition at www.red-dot.org.
- Presentation of the award-winning design concept for one year in the Red Dot Design Museum Singapore
- Free registration of 1 product at the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2027.

Winner Package "Regular" at SGD7000 (4641 euros)
The Regular package includes the following services:
- Use of the Red Dot Winner Label for the entire life cycle of the winning design concept.
- Two A4-format copies of the Red Dot certificate.
- A full page presentation of the project in the Red Dot Design Concept Yearbook 2026/2027.
- One-page profile in the Red Dot Design Concept Yearbook 2026/2027 with a short interview.
- One copy of the Red Dot Design Concept Yearbook 2026/2027.

Winner packages for the "Red Dot: Best of the Best" award
The Red Dot: Best of the Best is awarded for innovative design and is the highest award in the Red Dot Award: Design Concept, which is granted only to the best projects in a category.

30% Discount for Next Gen projects
Young professionals and design students under the age of 30 years old before the start of the competition year, are invited to enter their design projects as Next Gen projects. Next Gen projects receive a 30% discount off the submission fee and the Winner Package.
