Which city do you live in, and why should designers visit?
I live in Düsseldorf, a city known for its fashion industry and vibrant art scene. Located on the River Rhine, its Old Town (Altstadt) features a mix of historical architecture and modern design, a famous beer pub culture, culinary highlights from around the world, an exclusive shopping mile, and numerous museums.
What is one myth about design you would like to challenge?
Design is not always about making something stand out visually, making a product look fancy, or inventing something grand. Rather, design is about making things better, and improvements can take many forms, from significant environmental impacts to small adjustments that may be invisible at first but make users' lives easier in the long run.
What is a non-design hobby or interest that impacts your creativity?
I am a long-distance runner, and this is where I get my best ideas. When you're out there, with no one to disturb you, that's when I think about new product ideas.
