Coca-Cola – FIFA World Cup Russia 2018
This display typeface was used for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. At the heart of the design was the desire to convey to the observer at first glance the central message: it’s all about football. Sport and typeface combine to form one visual entity. The typeface is based on simple geometric shapes taken from a football game, reimagining the shapes of the ball, the goals and the line markings. The cleverly implemented typography has a high recognition value and lends itself to creating a variety of modular text compositions.
