EFI is a specialised laboratory focusing on failure analysis in the electronic production industry. The logo was designed for a conservative audience to express reliability and knowledge. It was playfully extended for further applications by a randomly generated texture, a never-ending combination of software-based patterns. To place greater emphasis on the visual identity, microscopic images of analytic results were integrated, which lend the appearance a high aesthetic value.
