Serge Vandercam

The design of this poster takes up the stylistic device of the photogram, as used by Serge Vandercam, the Danish-born Belgian painter, photographer, sculptor and ceramicist. Reminiscent of the art of László Moholy-Nagy, his works embrace greatly reduced and seemingly abstract objects. In this poster, the use of intricate typography sets a counterpoint to the simple photographic stylistic device of the photogram, with the objective of giving the resulting ensemble a strong pictorial expression.
