The pen is mightier than the sword – A tribute to the pencil

The design concept of this calendar is based on the power of the human imagination, which is symbolised by a pencil. As the adage cited in the calendar title states, a pen (or a pencil) can in fact be more powerful than a weapon. It might also be the origin of creative work, or it may record intellectual achievements, such as revolutionary theories. In line with this idea, the calendar shows a photographed pencil encountering silhouetted knives and weapons, or facing the simple silhouette of a famous cartoon character.
