Discovery Channel – Second World War

This trailer for the Discovery Channel Germany advertised a special programme commemorating D-Day and the Second World War by following a novel approach. Instead of working with widespread real historical images, the clip showcased an entire theatre of war reconstructed in miniature. The camera movement was particularly serene, hovering over the non-action of the static backdrop. The rather sad and bleak atmosphere was supported by an intense audio composition that contributed to bringing the fate of the individuals involved to the fore.
