The temporary exhibition in the Pergamonmuseum in Berlin is dedicated to the city of Pergamon and its pivotal role in antiquity. Archaeological finds have been set in their original contexts in order to offer visitors a vivid impression of the ancient metropolis. An imposing 25-metre-high, 360-degree city panorama serves to visualise a picture of the city’s spatial associations; it illustrates the interaction between individual buildings and their specific components. In cooperation with the Collection of Classical Antiquities in Berlin, the panorama imparts a breathtaking impression of the overall urban space of the city of Pergamon.
