sPOTs draws inspiration from potted plants, reducing heat through shading and radiation absorption. Suspended planters on umbrella-shaped columns provide shade, and recycled clay bricks from discarded flowerpots are coated in light-coloured mortar for thermal reflectivity. Combining greenery, recycled materials, and passive airflow strategies, this climate-responsive project provides a visually pleasing communal space with an optimised micro-climate while combating urban heat.
