The packaging design for Red Eye, an artisanal tomato beer from Fukushima, Japan, aims to better position the product in the market over the long term, and also to overcome the harmful rumours caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake. As the beer is carefully produced by farmers, the packaging visualises the aspect of craftsmanship and premium quality from high-quality tomatoes so as to differentiate the beer from other products. To optimally promote the beer, the bottles are packaged in a cardboard box that can be used as both a gift box and a display.
