What is one myth about design you would like to challenge?
Many believe that only experts in biotechnology can develop effective haemostatic dressings. But our team took a different path — by combining advanced materials science with textile engineering first, we created a foundation that biotechnology could build on. This shift allowed us to break free from traditional manufacturing methods.
How do you adapt through feedback without compromising your vision?
In those first three minutes after trauma, every second carries a life, a family, a future. That's why we keep our mission clear and simple: build emergency care that works for everyone, no matter where they're from, what they believe, or who they are. We listen, we improve, we redesign — but we never lose sight of why we started. Because, at the end of the day, everyone deserves the chance to make it home to the people who love them.
What strengths does your team bring that others might not have?
We come from three distinct worlds — textiles, materials science, and emergency medicine. It's a rare mix, but one that made SupraHemo™ possible: a bold idea transformed into something that saves lives in the field. We don't just develop materials; we push each design to answer a single question: will it work when it matters most? From lab bench to medic's hand, we work to bridge innovation and reality so more people survive, and more return safely. That's what innovation with purpose means to us.
