Since the Pergamon Museum in Berlin, Germany, is being renovated and will be partially closed during the building work, the original museum exhibits are on display in a temporary exhibition building where they are interwoven with the work of a contemporary artist. The 100-metre-long building contains 80 original items from Berlin’s Museum of Greek and Roman Antiquities, staging them among spatial, light and moving image installations. The central piece is a 30-metre-high, 360-degree panorama in which artistic style, specialist knowledge and original exhibits merge together with the aim of enabling visitors to experience antiquity visually, acoustically and emotionally.
