UNICATO – On-Air Design 2012

“Unicato” is a Central German Broadcasting (MDR) television programme that regularly screens films by students attending eastern German universities. The on-air design for this programme uses a collage of moving images, stop motion and digitally adapted effects from historical educational films. Shots of doll’s houses and decommissioned human anatomical models from the former GDR create an exotic world of their own. The visual design thus successfully reflects the film magazine’s character with its experimental, artistic productions.
