The new Passat has been designed in order to build a bridge into the next higher class of car. It has arisen from a new platform, the new modular traverse matrix, which forms the basis for its new proportions. A longer wheelbase, shorter overhangs, a wider front panel and a flatter silhouette give the Passat a dynamic, contemporary appearance. The interior is of high quality and provides ample space, whereas technologies such as an Active Info Display and a head-up display provide a high level of convenience.
