WORK is a biannual magazine featuring different work stories and working cultures. It aims to present the most authentic aspects of the chosen topic to the readers. This issue centres on Japanese office workers suffering from the extremely rigid work ethic in their country. The reader’s attention is captivated by large black-and-white photos which communicate a sense of exhaustion and despair. Moreover, the text is presented in an unusually uniform, almost form-like manner, modelled on work reports that office workers in Japan often need to write for monitoring purposes.
