Top ranked design institutions and enterprises at the Red Dot Design Ranking
Achieving design excellence demands consistent dedication and sustained investments. Red Dot Design Ranking for Design Concept is a vigorous reflection of real sustainable design and innovation capability of an organisation. It recognises the continued investment in design concepts by enterprises and institutions, and ranked into six distinct honorary lists for Companies, Design Studios and Universities, in the Americas & Europe and Asia Pacific regions.
National Taiwan University of Science and Technology maintained its #1 position at the list for Universities in Asia Pacific, with Massey University moving up the rank at the second position. Hongik University is now ranked #3 in the list. In the list for Universities in Americas & Europe, Umeå Institute of Design and Savannah College of Art and Design maintained their first and second position for the eighth consecutive year while University of Montreal, School of Design maintained its #3 position in rankings.
In the list for Design studios in Americas & Europe, Blond and Emami Design maintained its #1 and #2 in rankings, followed by Crux Product Design in third position. ZCO Design / ZCO Future Design is now ranked #1, followed by Shenzhen C60 Design at #2 and inDare Design Strategy Limited at #3 position in the list of Design studios in Asia Pacific.
In the list for Companies in Asia Pacific, Midea Group maintained at the top position, Skyworth moved up to second position with Gree Electric Appliances of Zhuhai ranked at third placing. Ranked at the top in ranking for Companies in Americas & Europe are LIXIL Global Design at #1 position with Philips Design at the second position. Microsoft / Microsoft Office Envisioning Team is now ranked #4 in the list.
The ranking is based on the results of the Red Dot Award: Design Concept published in the yearbooks. It takes into account all levels of awards at the Red Dot Award for Design Concept over the recent five years.
The achievements of this year’s Red Dot Design Ranking for Design Concept were released in tandem with Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2023 results.
