New book "Enjoying" extends the Red Dot Design Yearbook 2016/2017

This year, the awarded products of the Red Dot Award: Product Design are published in four volumes for the first time. In addition to “Living”, “Doing” and “Working” the new book “Enjoying” was added. Reason for the extension is the continuously increasing number of participants of the competition. The new arrangement of the yearbooks provide a simpler overview of the products for the reader and make them more handy.

For many years now, the yearbooks of the Red Dot Award have been considered international reference works for excellent design. Together, all volumes give a comprehensive overview of the state of the art and trends in product design. Companies, journalists, architects, and designers use the books for their day-to-day work and as an archive of excellent design.

The individual volumes all cover specific fields of life: “Living” comprises the categories from the area of living and household goods, “Doing” is devoted to the products relating to technical objects. “Working” presents products from the fields of work and technology. The new book “Enjoying” documents the award-winning products, such as bathroom fittings and consumer electronics that make life more comfortable and enjoyable. With numerous illustrations, practical background information and detailed portraits of the designers the Red Dot Design Yearbook also introduces the people who are responsible for the design and development of the winning innovations.

Red Dot Edition looks back on more than 20 years of experience and above 150 publications. Being more than just a publisher, Red Dot comprises a full-circle powerhouse and think tank for design: It boasts six decades of experience.
