New exhibition presents communication design in Taipei

On 3 July 2017, a new exhibition opened in the Red Dot Design Area Taipei. “Dialogue – Red Dot awarded Communication Design” showcases the latest trends, strategies and projects of the Taiwanese and international communication design scene. What all works have in common is their excellent design for which they received a prize in the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2016.

From illustrations and posters to packaging, advertising campaigns and online presences: The selection consists of 150 exhibits. Visitors can discover all projects which received the Red Dot: Best of the Best and the highest single distinction, the Red Dot: Grand Prix. In addition, award-winning designs from Taiwan are on show which illustrate where the insular state is positioned in the world of communication design.

Visitors to the exhibition can look forward to the best work by an up-and-coming talent which was granted the Red Dot: Junior Prize. In 2016, this distinction went to Mu-Yi Chi and Yi-Sin Lin from the Tatung University in Taipei. Their animation “Meet, or Not”  creates mysterious fantasy worlds and optical illusions which captivate the beholder in order to convey a main message: Despite all the challenges that humans have to face and master in their lives, they still make great efforts to bravely chase their dreams. This and other impressive communication design benchmarks from around the world will be on show until 15 October 2017.
