Red Dot Award: Product Design - Regular registration phase ending soon

The main public interest, design and business media report every year on the winners of the competition. As a result, receiving a Red Dot exponentially increases the communication possibilities for manufacturers and designers. This is truer than ever in 2015: The competition was organised for the first time in 1955, and for the past 60 years has been the driving force behind uncovering product excellence and reporting this in a comprehensive manner.

In this anniversary year, there will be 31 categories in which to enter projects in the competition for the sought-after seal of high design quality. The regular registration phase for the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015 ends on 27 January.

The independent jury comprises more than 40 experienced design specialists from a wide variety of different professions. Hideshi Hamaguchi from Japan, known for inventing the USB memory stick, and Martin Darbyshire from the UK, founder of the design studio tangerine, are just two of the established Red Dot jury members. New members include Wen-long Chen, CEO of the Taiwan Design Center.
