Red Dot in China: successful design fair in Xiamen goes into the fourth round

For many years, China has surprised the global market with its power and rising demand to itself. Continuously rising participation figures in the Red Dot Design Award show that the People's Republic is not only a leading production and sales market in the world, but is also becoming a new design force through a successfully implemented corporate culture.

Since 2012, the enormous enthusiasm for good design is evidenced during the "Xiamen International Design Business Week - Red Dot in China", which has attracted more than 30,000 visitors in 2014. This year, a Red Dot curated exhibition will show over 150 award-winning products, granting both a professional audience and design enthusiasts an insight the into state-of-the-art in product culture.

In addition, many exciting companies and designers will present themselves at special booths and will provide the perfect platform for a close exchange. Among the exhibitors are the design studios of the Red Dot jury members Professor Jure Miklavc (Studio Miklavc), Dirk Schumann (Schumann Design) and Aleksandar Tatic (Tatic Designstudio). Further exhibitors are Kenwood Delonghi from Italy, Sony from Japan, Axent from Switzerland as well as 4M Industrial Development from Hongkong, to name a few.

How design can be used for a corporate development will be discussed under the motto “Design for growth” in the course of the Red Dot Academy. Besides Professor Dr Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot, long-time Red Dot jurors Professor Martin Beeh (Germany), Gordon Bruce (USA), Professor Michel de Boer (Netherlands), and Thomas Lockwood, PhD (USA) are among the lecturers.
