Audrone Drungilaite

Audronė Drungilaitė is a Lithuanian independent curator and product development consultant with a strong passion for furniture design. She is an experienced cultural strategist with a solid background in design management, creative direction, and innovation.

Audronė currently serves as Director of the Design Innovation Centre at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, where she leads projects connecting academia, industry, and public institutions to foster research-driven, socially responsible, and sustainable design. In parallel, she teaches Design Management at the Academy’s Design Department, nurturing the next generation of designers and creative leaders.

Previously, she was Creative Director at EMKO, a Lithuanian furniture company known for commercialising the ideas of young designers in the international furniture sector. She also spent five years leading the Lithuanian Design Forum as its Director, during which she strengthened Lithuania’s design ecosystem and represented it across Europe. Her curatorial work includes acclaimed international exhibitions such as Tactile Baltics (London, 2021; Milan, 2025), Design Lithuania (presented across Europe), and national design stands at several international furniture fairs.

In recent years, she has contributed to several influential boards, including the Bureau of European Design Associations (BEDA), the PATLIB Advisory Committee at the European Patent Office, the Lithuanian Design Council, and CIRRUS – the Nordic-Baltic Network of Art and Design Education.
