The white balance port is the first underwater lens port to incorporate a device for calibrating white balance. By turning the external knob, its ten translucent blades can be opened or closed. When in use, the blades form a complete disk in front of the lens, thus serving as a reference surface for white balance calibration. If no calibration is needed, the blades rest behind the lens so that they do not obstruct the field of view.
