AXEL: Leather – Transform Trash into Treasure

Due to concerns about animal welfare and environmental protection, leather has come under scrutiny in recent years. In order to show that the material is actually a by-product of the livestock industry – thus helping to reduce waste in meat-processing plants – the leather producer Axel has modelled its product catalogue on a meat chart. The catalogue is used to communicate with customers, allowing them to experience a range of different colours and textures. It also features in the company’s advertising campaign.
