Bookmarks Rack

BOOKMARKS RACK is a functional art object that provides a new way of storing books. The idea is to combine the function of a bookmark with a hanger and a hanging rail. The user hangs a book on the rack as a storage solution. It book hanger also marks where the user last left off in a book so that it is easy to pick up the book again. Each bookmark hanger on the rack is made up of two simple laser-cut acrylic components that can be interlocked into a cross that will hold a book. The bookrack itself has a sculptural form that combines aesthetic and function. The rails slant at an angle to make sure all the books slide to the lower ends and lean against each other, and the bookmarks will securely mark the page.
