With its app, the Hamburg-based drug store chain BUDNI employs the drive-to-store strategy. The company has digitalised its entire product range including availability and personalisation. With a complex back-end structure, it allows users to quickly and easily create a virtual shopping list – even via voice control – before visiting one of the stores. Maritime icons, flowing animations and a new hand-written font lend the digi- tal appearance the emotional charm of the brand, which is closely attached to its home region.
