In Busan, the second largest city in South Korea, a new wayfinding system is to provide better orientation on popular hiking trails. The system had to cater to an international audience, so the more than 1,000 signs had to be designed in four languages. The Busan Tourist Information System was also developed in collaboration with various organisations to create an inclusive information design that also takes into account the special needs of disabled people. “With a clear grid and sensitive typography, this is a comprehensive solution with smart connectivity that provides good orientation for a broad target group," the jury showed itself impressed.
