The SUPER73-C1X Concept was designed to redefine the line between e-bike and motorcycle conventions. The C1X is a street-legal concept that will serve as a ‘step-up’ vehicle from the current SUPER73 offerings, achieving motorcycle performance while being significantly smaller and lighter.
With a top speed of more than 75mph, the C1X requires a motorcycle endorsement on the rider’s driver’s licence, vehicle registration and full insurance. The platform, however, is ideal for DMV riders due to its 31-inch seat height, small footprint, lightweight form and manoeuvrability. To achieve a footprint smaller than that of a typical motorcycle, the C1X uses 15- inch wheels instead of the standard 17-inch motorcycle wheels. Mounting the motor rearward of the swing arm pivot point also enables an ultra-agile 51-inch wheelbase while eliminating chain slack issues. Further enhancing the agility is a mass-centralised chassis/ battery configuration.
SUPER73-C1X Concept explores the use of urban commuters as well as adventure seekers. It will introduce a fast-charging solution that provides a city range of approximately 100 miles. The concept will also have a top speed of more than 75mph, allowing it to bridge the gap between urban exploration and highway connectivity. With two wheels and small footprint, C1X leaves the headache of parking to others.
