With the Catnail box cutter, boxes can be opened easily, quickly and without risk thanks to its safety-oriented design. The blade extends from the bottom of the tool as soon as a button at the top is pressed. When the user releases the button, the blade retracts back into the housing. The shape of the box cutter also makes it possible to easily cut along the edges of cardboard boxes, as its bottom surface wraps around the edge with a 90-degree angle. The jury was particularly impressed by the “consistent, effective implementation of a simple idea aimed at practicality”.
