Cicada Chair System
Every form on the planet is the result of evolution. This project began with an analysis of the principles underlying the structure of cicada wings before translating them into algorithms. These algorithms then aid in the replication of a natural process that would have occurred over millions of years in order to create ideal forms based on morphogenesis and math.
By varying the inputs, the algorithm generates an endless number of chair designs that can be used for a variety of purposes and fit a variety of spaces.
