City Inn Chengdu

The redesign of the City Inn hotel in Chengdu takes the visitors on a journey into the past. To do this, the hotel was transformed into a type of art gallery. The lobby has an exhibition of photos and products of days gone by, for example. With their black, white and grey retro-style furniture and black and white photos of street scenes, the décor of the rooms is calm and monochrome. The rooms make do without any colour and even look a little like a pop up photo.

The highly original design approach that invokes the past gives the City Inn hotel a distinctive as well as unusual appearance.
