This corporate book by the Hamburger Klubstiftung (Hamburg Foundation of Nightclubs) was conceived as a kaleidoscopic portrayal of 64 nightclubs in the city of Hamburg. Local photographers captured the unique ambience of each club, and the respective venue is described in a short text with a focus on pop culture. The book also integrates stapled issues of Hamburg’s “Clublexikon” in a boxed serigraph set. The choice of inexpensive materials, bold type, rough paper and layout are aimed to support the credibility of the independent music scene in Hamburg.
