cobas® pulse

Back

The cobas®pulse from Roche is a POC (point of care) hand-held device for measuring blood glucose. Its robust & compact design is ideal for mobile in-hospital use. Highest demands on user centricity with user context analyses across all conceivable use cases guided us through the process. The result is an exceptional device with the performance & functional scope of a large desktop laboratory device - safe for patients, easy for professionals and efficient for hospitals. A large touchscreen UI offers guided use through the workflow, animations and progress signals further ensure a great user experience. Measurement data can be transmitted wirelessly from the POC to the patient’s hospital file. Using Android as open operating system, additional Roche apps can be installed to enable further functionalities. In the future this also opens up exciting possibilities for innovative third-party offerings certified by Roche. Roche developed a complete design system with carrying case, charging station & handheld. The design language spans across their complete professional product portfolio, including the cobas®pulse as first hand-held device.
