The jury agreed that it was “the fascinating and visually appealing details of the COT W that make the bar stool’s design so unique”. Its distinctive character owes much to the flowing shape of its generous plywood seating surface, which is supported by round legs made from solid wood. In order to increase the contact surface between the stool’s legs and the seat, the former are slightly wider at the top. The stool’s back legs are also closer together than those at the front. All four legs are connected by a metal footrest to provide stability and give the user a place to rest their feet.
