Counterbalance

Counterbalance is an LED wall lamp with an almost two metre long steel arm whereby its weight is compensated by means of gearwheel and a counterweight. The counterbalance system allows a flowing alignment of the light transmitting arm along its movement axis and thus location of the lamps in unlimited positions. The arm with the rotary lamp head stands thereby perfectly balanced in the room.

Counterbalance fascinates due to the ease with which it seems to defy the laws of physics, even though a sophisticated technology lies behind it.
