The D500 is a single-lens reflex camera in the handy DX format conceived for demanding users. Its monocoque body is fashioned from carbon-fibre-reinforced thermoplastic and a magnesium alloy, making the camera very durable. It is equipped with a 153-point AF system and capable of continuously shooting ten images per second. The grip is shaped ergonomically so that the camera can be held comfortably, even when it is equipped with a large telephoto lens.
