This video for “Das Auto. Magazine”, an online consumer magazine from Volkswagen, presents the new Scirocco. Giorgetto Giugiaro, the designer of the first Scirocco model, talks about car design today and from 40 years ago, about the new Scirocco, designed by his compatriot Walter de Silva, about the differences between Germans and Italians, and, not least, about his own legacy. The film combines contemporary photographs and statements with historical material from the 1970s. It is complemented with impressive images from a spin in the new Scirocco, filmed in Italy in the Piedmont region.
