The DFG-aided AI Surveillance Camera uses self-cleaning Drop Free Glass (DFG) to provide a clear view, even in heavy rain, and allow the built-in AI to detect people, vehicles and other objects. It was in particular the electronic self-cleaning feature that impressed the jury: when the AI camera notices drops of water or other contaminants on the lens, it uses electrowetting technology to repel the water and other foreign objects within one second. The camera body is made from aluminium and polycarbonate. Its design, with straight lines and polygonal surfaces, was inspired by stealth aircraft.
