Diatomite Fiber

Diatomite Fiber is designed to be a filling material for bedding such as pillows or duvets. It consists of diatomite, a natural, non-toxic mineral that absorbs moisture and deodorises. While the substance has so far been used for applications in the construction industry, for example for thermal insulation, it can now be further developed for use in home textiles. The fibre has a pure white colour and is therefore universally applicable. “This creative evolution of a material that has proven its merits in other product groups is remarkable. The advantages of the fibre can thus serve a broad target group,” the jury said in justification of its verdict.
