The concept of experiencing flying in an immersive manner through drones aims to offer users a first-person view (FPV), that is, as real a perception as possible, as if they were flying themselves. The DJI FPV Goggles have been designed for both professional and amateur pilots. They offer high resolution, a strong immersive experience, real-time digital image transmission over long distances and they have a low susceptibility to interference. They are part of a system that also includes a DJI FPV air unit, a camera and a remote control. All components boast powerful features and functions and complement each other. Thanks to an extremely low latency and a high-resolution HD display, the goggles deliver very exciting flying experiences from a first-person perspective. The design and development processes were an equally exciting adventure journey, as each new insight led to the implementation of new details. Meeting user demands for fast and stable image transmission and highly sensory stimulation, this drone accessory is both functional and stylish, which is rather unusual among such products. The design language is based on a creative approach to the “role” that the wearer assumes during the flight. This is how the “rebellious” appearance with the science fiction-inspired multi-antenna solution of the DJI FPV Goggles was conceived.

Adopting a language of form that is inspired by the symbolism of popular role-playing games, the design of the DJI FPV Goggles perfectly visualises the notions of speed and adventure. They immediately captivate and emotionally address the user. Based on a transmission technology specially developed for first-person view applications, the goggles offer particularly intensive flight experiences from a first-person perspective.
