As part of the Qatar “Year of Culture” initiative, under the auspices of the German Embassy and the Goethe-Institut, curated by Martin Roth, this exhibition traced the evolution of German design since 1945. Highlight-ing the intertwined links between the design process, the designers and the zeitgeist, the exhibition featured objects ranging from automotive, product and graphic design, as well as architecture, furniture and fashion. A special “Design Lab” focused on the designing process itself, while five “Period Rooms” traced the development of German design since 1945.
