Technical devices that blend discreetly into living or working spaces are rare. The ELPCS01 mobile cart-like projector cabinet is a remarkable exception. It does not appear as a technical device, but as an inconspicuously designed piece of furniture – and only reveals its functionality at second glance. The homely character was a deliberate design goal. Instead of visible technology, clear lines, calm surfaces and corner panels with wood grain dominate, giving the housing a warm, furniture-like presence. The entire front is covered with a high-quality speaker mesh fabric – acoustically permeable, visually closed. In this way, the technology is not concealed, but naturally integrated. The loudspeaker function is fully retained, while at the same time a calm visual surface is created that radiates the character of a piece of furniture. Nevertheless, the product is technology-driven: The projector, control unit and connections are seamlessly integrated and the control panel is discreetly positioned. Set up in front of a free wall, the short-throw projector projects a razor-sharp image with a diagonal of up to 160″ (approx. four metres). Mobility has also been consistently realised: Lockable castors, ergonomically placed handles and a low centre of gravity make it easy to transport and position – even in confined spaces. The cabinet works wherever a free wall is available – in classrooms, offices or seminar rooms. The modular design enables the integration of various projector, camera and sound solutions. Both inside and out, it offers numerous connection options and lockable compartments for accessories. The jury’s verdict: “The ELPCS01 impresses with its well-thought-out, furniture-like design, which enhances learning and working environments not only functionally but also aesthetically. The high quality of workmanship is particularly pleasing. It gives the product robustness, but also the kind of value that allows it to blend harmoniously into a variety of environments.” The ELPCS01 is a projection system that functions as an object in a room – with technical substance and a calm presence.
