The first thing you notice about the pestle and mortar is its unusual, handy, oval shape and its material mix of porcelain and silicone. Handling the kitchen aid has been considerably simplified: due to the lateral grooves, spices and herbs need only to be pushed back and forth with the pestle to grind them – great effort is no longer needed.
