FOLD (Light wheelchair)
Inspired by the mechanism of a folding chair, FOLD is a lightweight wheelchair with an intuitive foldable structure. When folded, the wheelchair packs into a flat form with minimised volume for easy storage and transportation. When in use, pulling the handles connected to the “ratchet freewheel gear” allows the wheelchair to move forward or backwards. Lightweight materials are also chosen to increase the portability of the chair. Lastly, the chair is fitted with a free wheel which makes it easy to manoeuvre.
