The Mobile Drive Mg is an elegant external hard drive that was designed for the demanding users of Apple MacBooks and other high-performance notebooks. Magnesium was deliberately chosen as a material; it is strong, lightweight, environmentally friendly and easily recyclable. Moreover, wall thickness could be reduced to a minimum, so that the thinnest version measures merely 10 mm. The hard drive is nevertheless designed for long-term use and is future-oriented by featuring the latest USB 3.0 interface standard.

This external hard drive convinced the jury with its minimalist language of form. The intelligent choice of materials results not only in a very compact design with unique haptics but also in additional features like good heat dissipation and recyclability.
