The special feature of this cruise ship terminal in Istanbul is that it is located underground. Its design is influenced by the culture of the region. For example, rounded column edges in the interior refer to the historical architecture and character of the old cisterns of Istanbul. Although only little natural sunlight enters the terminal, it is designed to still appear as airy as possible. This is achieved by a carefully considered lighting concept that emits silvery, natural-looking light.
