The Genium leg prosthesis supports a natural pattern of movement without the wearer having to consciously control the joint. The system intelligently reacts to a wide range of everyday situations. Integrated measuring sensors continuously monitor the user’s current gait phase. As a result, wearers experience a noticeable reduction in the energy and coordination effort they have to expend. It also enables wearers to climb stairs step-over-step, without an active drive system or massive compensating movements. Other practical innovations include inductive charging, the long battery life of the microprocessor-controlled prosthesis, and resistance against spray water.
