“With the Gentle Ladle, a simple everyday product has been innovatively reinterpreted and made more user-friendly through fine details,” concluded the jury. For example, the bowl of the ladle was given a flattened side, which makes it easier to scoop from a pot. In addition, the Gentle Ladle has a silicone handle with a generously curved end that provides a secure grip and allows it to be hung comfortably on a wall bar. The product developers found inspiration for this design in an image of an English gentleman holding an umbrella. In the jury’s opinion, “this impression was also successfully translated by the elegant colour combination”.
