This work transforms traditional signboards, which are seen ever less often in the streets of Taiwan, into creative souvenirs. They come in wooden boxes, the lids of which hint at their content, and are assigned to four different themes. The Eternity box, which holds 17 stamps, represents the eight basic strokes of Chinese calligraphy. “Taste” refers to painted metal signboards which, above all, were used in ancient kitchens. “Joy” refers to three acrylic light boxes. And last but not least, “Dance” creates a ballroom ambience by using neon signs.
