GREAT BARRIER REEF – 360° Panorama
This exhibition presents the unique underwater coral world of the Great Barrier Reef in all its fragile beauty. Five installations let the visitors immerse themselves in the world of the reef. Starting from a tiny polyp, the creator of the reef, at the centre of the exhibition, the gigantic GREAT BARRIER REEF panorama – 32 metres in height with a circumference of 110 metres – shows a hyperrealistic, idealised natural habitat. The installation condenses archetypal elements of the underwater landscape and its fauna to enable observers to discover and understand the complexity and interaction of the ecosystem from a single vantage point on the visitor platform.
