Hangzhou China Canal Bay

The Hangzhou China Canal Bay exhibition centre has a strong visual identity and is situated on the Grand Canal in Hangzhou. It houses two separate, but interconnected offices. The left- and right-hand sides of the building are connected by elegantly functional corridors that effectively accentuate the contours of the space. Pools that imitate the flow of the watercourse transport the motif of the canal from the outside to the inside. The aim of the design is to encourage the visitor to reflect on both the past and the future of this site.
